Maureen K. Crone (Maureen K. Best) passed away in her sleep at the age of 67, on December 29, 2021. Maureen was born the 4th of 6 daughters on July 4, 1954 to William and Dorothy (Yager) Best, and they predeceased her. She graduated from the former McAuley High School in 1972. On June 26, 1976 Maureen married her husband, Michael Crone and they raised their family together.
Maureen was known for her keen sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She was a people person, liked her TV programs, and spending time with her relatives and friends. Maureen worked in retail early on, was a tax professional for many years, and had recently retired after 20 years working at a local Bingo Hall.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Michael; son, Brandon; and daughter, Rebecca; also survived by sisters, Marianne Thomas, Christine Keller, Karen Grant, Barbara Warfield and Teri Ward, and their collective 14 children and grandchildren; and many cousins in the Best and Yager families, whom she loved dearly.
The family will celebrate Maureen's life at a family gathering later in 2022.
