Matthew J. Schuster, age 37, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, after a long battle with alcohol addiction. He was born on August 14, 1983, in Toledo, Ohio.
He is survived by his parents Richard and Karen Schuster and his sister Kristy. Matt was a 2001 graduate of Sylvania Northview High School and was a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker. Matt worked for his family's business, Schuster Mfg. Inc., where he excelled as the Director of Research and Development. His ideas for new products and his inventive design solutions were instrumental in achieving the company's current success.
Matt was a Master level competitive rifle shooter and certified rifle instructor. He was the Ohio State Jr. Shooting Team Highpower Champion in 2000 & 2001 and one of the Top 20 National Junior shooters in 2002. He belonged to the NRA, Zanesville Rifle Club and the Toledo Area Highpower Rifle League. In his free time he also loved cooking, gardening, fishing and travel.
Matt struggled for many years with his addiction. And while at the end it may have taken him from us, it can never overwhelm the many accomplishments of his life or how much he was loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
