Mason Lee Booher-Rex

Mason Lee "Baby Boo" Booher-Rex, passed away on August 7, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in the arms of his loving mother, surrounded by all of his loving family. He was born on July 25, 2016 to Alan Balcazar and Courtney Booher-Rex in Toledo. Mason was here for a very short time, but touched the hearts of so many.

He was preceded in death by his great-uncle, Matthew Rex. Mason is survived by his parents, Courtney and Alan; maternal grandparents, Brittanie Rex and Dominic Booher; paternal grandmother, Juana Balcazar; great-grandparents, Paulette Rex, Perry Rex, Donald (Karen) Booher and Georgia (Dave) Bailey; uncles and aunts, PFC Dominic Booher-Rex, Damion Booher-Rex, DJ Booher, Chelseah Booher-Rex, Joeie Rex and Crystal Booher; Mason's future godparents, Priscilla Rogers and Morgan Kruszynski; and many other cousins, close family and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center Labor and Delivery and NICU staff for all of their love, kindness and compassionate care given to Mason and his family throughout this difficult time. Also a very special thank you to Nurses Nikki and Cathy for being there with us through Mason's final hours.
