Maryalice Hummel

Maryalice Hummel, age 85, of Temperance, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Lake Park Comfort Care. She was born on December 10, 1921 to Alfred E. and Lyda (Lockhart) Hiteschew in Pinconning, Michigan. She was a graduate of Woodward High School. She married Harry David Hummel, the love of her life on July 3, 1940. Maryalice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished the moments spent with her family, which included nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Maryalice was a caregiver to her beloved mother-in-law, Tilly Hummel and took wonderful, loving care of her husband Harry in his declining years. One could not ask for more of a long and devoted life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry David Hummel on October 2, 2004 and 9 brothers and sisters. Maryalice is survived by her loving family, children: Dianne S. (Thomas) Trabbic, Suzanne G. (Donald) Thompson and Michael D. (Wendy) Hummel; grandchildren: Jodette, Daniel (Marie), Laura (Shawn), Hollianne (Jeff), Kelly, Robin, Tony (Kim), Thomas and Evelyn; great-grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Jessica, Brian, Mathew, Emily, Casey, Colin, Paige, Emellia, Dimitri, Erin, Jarod, Charlotte and Bridgette.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, September 22, 2007 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
