Mary A. Wheaton

Mary A Wheaton, age 80, of Toledo, OH passed away May 12, 2018 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born October 30, 1937 in Toledo to Emmett and Geneva (Hall) Wheaton. She was employed with the Toledo Public Schools for more than 30 years retiring in 1997. Mary was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, studying the bible, listening to WSPD and Tom Joyner Morning Show and working out in the yard.

Left to cherish Mary's memory are daughters, Gretchen L. Wheaton and Bridgett M. Wheaton and half brother Shawn E Purnell, son-in-law Michael Weber; granddaughters, Beyonce G. Taylor and Sabree M. Taylor; nephew's Emmett Wheaton, Anthony Wheaton and Wendell Wheaton; sister's, Twyla Wheaton and Charlotte Wheaton. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Joya Wheaton and brother, Wendell Wheaton.

The family will receive guests, Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am at Newcomer – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery.
