Mary S. Westrick

Mary S. Westrick, age 95, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 30th, 2004 in St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. She was born September 6th, 1909 in Hamler, Ohio to Joseph and Catherine (Guilliom) Jackman. Mary was a Consultant with the United Way, Special Gifts Division for 20 years. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Church and taught music in her home. Mary also played the organ for many years at St Paul's Church in Hamler, Ohio. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Ladies Auxillary American Legion Post #110.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonso C. Westrick; son, Bill Westrick; sisters, Margaret Jackman and Agatha Zierolf; brother, Walter Jackman; and step-daughter, Sr. Mary Margaret Westrick, RSM. Mary is survived by her loving children, Joseph (Alice) Westrick; John A. (Angela) Westrick; Robert (Kathie) Westrick and Joan (Lou) Minning; daughter-in-law, Mary Katherine Westrick; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Saturday from 9-10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 Summit St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Gerald Chmiel. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A Scripture Service will be said Friday at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the church.
