Mary Guadalupe "Lupe" Wesolowski, age 66, of Walbridge, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 18, 1951 to Raul and Emma (Weaver) Hernandez in San Antonio, Texas. Lupe graduated from Macomber Whitney High School. She retired from Toledo Hospital Cafeteria after many years. Lupe enjoyed going to the Holiday Inn French Quarters to dance and listen to music as well as going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed doing volunteer work for Joyful Smiles Thru Faith, with her daughter. Lupe loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Castro. Lupe is survived by her loving significant other, Ray Glass; daughter, Jacqueline (Frank) Simon-Federico; son, Jason (Andrea) Wesolowski; grandchildren, Elayna, Amiaya, Graciella, Cameron and Kaden; siblings, Rosa Hernandez, Gloria (Albert) VanCoppenolle, Roy (Barb) Hernandez, Zoila (Manuel) Ortiz, Rogelio (Jody) Hernandez, Irma (Glen Sr.) Cook and Rudy (Kris) Hernandez; and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Sharing of Memories in the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 728 South St. Clair St., Toledo OH 43609 with a visitation one hour prior at church. Inurment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
