Mary Shepard

Mary "Ann" Shepard, age 77, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on January 11, 1929 to Norman H. and Carloyn (Budda) Mauder in Gibsonburg, Ohio. Ann was one of 13 children. She graduated from Olney High School in Northwood. Ann was employed with GM Power Train for 23 years, building transmissions until she retired February 1, 1991. She was a proud member of the UAW for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jo, Sis, Normie, Ray and Butch. Ann is survived by her loving children: Gary (Karen), Jeff (Charla) and Mark (Jane) Shepard; grandchildren: Ryan, Stephanie and Katie; great-grandchildren: Trinity and Dylan; 5 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; and siblings: Larry (Margie), Bill (Dode), Jim (Bev), Chub (Therese), Sue (Phil), Jeanne (Walt) and Deed (Ray).

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Glass City Christian Fellowship, 8201 Angola Rd., Holland, OH 43528. The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
