Mary Elizabeth McCourt, age 91, a longtime resident of Toledo, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. She was born June 2, 1930 in Richmond, Kentucky to Clarence and Mary Ellen (McCoy) Coyle. Mary met and married the love of her life, Cecil McCourt in Kentucky and moved to Toledo where they made their home and raised their 2 children.

Mary loved taking care of children and was proud she was able to care for not only first generation but second generations of children as well. She and her husband were affectionately referred to as Nana and Papa by all the kids.
Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family and friends. She was also an avid gardener, tending tirelessly to her beautiful blooms, including salmon colored impatiens which were Cecil's favorite.
In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Cecil McCourt; son, Cecil "Rick" McCourt; grandson, Chris; 7 brothers; 1 sister and her half-brother. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Butch) Stover; great granddaughter, Tori Cluckey; great-great grandchildren, Rudy and Saliciana; half-sisters, Aretta Baughn of IN and Anne (Bob) Trombatore of AZ and many nieces and nephews.
