Mary M. Posadny

Mary Posadny, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on September 21, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Timothy Posadny, her parents Albert and Laura Hunt, and her sister, Kathy Hofbauer.

Mary is survived by her cherished children, Amy Eckert and Dan (Joanne) Posadny, who will forever carry forward her memory. She was a proud and devoted grandmother, known as Marna, to Joshua (Amy) Eckert, Laura (Joshua) Groves, and Tim Posadny, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She is also survived by her dear siblings, brother Raymond (Faye) Hunt and sister Delores Robert, whom she loved with all her heart. 

Known for her sharp wit and boundless love, Mary enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as weekly trips to Little Flower Church for BINGO, where she could often be found with a lucky card in hand. She also loved playing euchre with family and friends, always managing to keep an ace up her sleeve and a smile on her face.

Mary's warmth, sense of humor, and love for her family will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created with those she touched.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel), 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM. A celebration of Life service will begin immediately at 7:00 PM. following visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation of the American Cancer Society, in honor of Mary's great love for her husband, Timothy.
