Mary Lou Yeager-Schmiel

Heaven is a more beautiful place since welcoming Mary Lou into the eternal light on Monday, April 1, 2013. She was born on November 29, 1936 to Antonio and Elizabeth (Muranyi) Rose in Toledo, Ohio. Mary Lou was a graduate of Waite High School and she retired from Dana Corporation after 20 years of service as an accounts payable clerk. Following retirement, Mary Lou worked as a real estate agent for nearly 30 years for DiSalle Real Estate Co. With her young spirit and magnetic personality, Mary Lou impacted many lives by volunteering to care for the elderly during her retirement years. She had boundless energy and compassion for living, caring and helping others.

In her spare time Mary Lou enjoyed garage sales and hunting for that special treasure. For many years she enjoyed the camaraderie of the "Margarita Club" which was a group made up of good friends that got together for whenever they had the notion. Most precious to Mary Lou was her family; they were her pride and joy. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary Lou will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Raymond Schmiel; children, Roseanne (Jerry) Feudi, Roxanne Gackstetter (Bruce), Rick A. (Tina) Swartz, Terry Swartz and Tim (Margaret) Swartz; sister, Gloria Rose; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Rose; grandson, Nicholas Feudi and granddaughter, Alyssa Gackstetter.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
