Mary Lou Houle, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away November 21, 2022 at the age of 92. Daughter of the late Anton and Elizabeth Heinsen. Adored wife of the late Harold "Hal" Houle. Cherished mother of David Morse, Kathleen (Mike) Morse, the late Sam Morse, the late Dean Morse, and the late Glen Morse. Treasured grandmother of Colleen Holthe, Amy Craft, Jason David (Kristina) Morse, Lori (Blake) Wilson, Gary (Kristen) Morse, Kristeen (Teagan) Morse. Beloved sister of Robert Heinsen, Eileen Sniegowski, the late Tony Heinsen, and the late Betty Chambers. She was "Yoyo" to many great grandchildren including the late David Morse, Jr. Loving friend of "nosy neighbors" Dan and Margo Kerscher.
Mary Lou and Hal married on June, 19, 1969 and went on to build a wonderful family in the Toledo area. Mary Lou was a parishioner of All Saints Lutheran Church. She worked 50 years in grocery retail, retiring after 16 years with Seaway Foodtown. Mary Lou was loved and admired for her heart. Being blessed with such a large family, Mary Lou was able to care for many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She volunteered at All Saints Church, as well as the Sunset House after her mother's passing. She will be greatly missed by all family members and friends.
Family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 3-7:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at All Saints Lutheran Church at 5445 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614. Services will begin at 11:30AM, with visitation one hour prior.
Mary Lou will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
