Mary L. Reynolds

Mary L. Reynolds, age 84, of Toledo, went home to be with her Savior and Lord on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born on June 2, 1930 to Harold and Marie (Campbell) Hamlin in Huntington, West Virginia. Mary enjoyed baking and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Sylvania. She loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Reynolds; sons, Gary and Tom Reynolds; sons-in-law, Frank Hunt and Karl Koester; grandson, Frankie Hunt; and brothers, Bob, Harry, Bill and Herb Hamlin. Mary is survived by her loving children, Jean Hunt, Sandy Koester, Robert (Phoebe) Reynolds, and Rev. Don (Brenda) Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Nellie Reynolds; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Pritchard, Ruth Hundsrucker and Betty Hamlin; and brother, Donald (Linda) Hamlin.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Sylvania, 4827 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd., Sylvania 43560, with visitation one hour prior. Officiating will be Rev. Don Reynolds. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

The family would like to give the staff and friends at Pelham Manor, the staff and caregivers at Passport, Franciscan Care Center and Spring Meadows Nursing Home a special thank you for all of their love, care and support given to Mary and her family through this difficult time.
