After a short and valiant fight with cancer, Mary Jane has been welcomed into God's loving arms.
She will be remembered by all who loved her as a selfless caregiver, a joyous gardener, a loyal friend, and a maker of handmade gifts, especially the special occasion cards she hand stamped and created with love.
Mary Jane will also be remembered for, in days gone by, her infamous lead foot as she sped around town in her VW Beetle, skirting the law but finally slowing down after 5 speeding tickets in less than a year.
Mary Jane is survived by her first love and husband of 59 years, Joseph W. Kuehnl. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Margaret Ann (Acker) Donahue, many brothers and sisters-in-law, a host of friends and nieces and nephews and all who adored her completely.
There will be no visitation and services are private.
The family would like to express it deep gratitude to the staff at Kingston of Perrysburg for the tender and loving care bestowed upon Mary Jane during her brief illness. It will never be forgotten.
We will smile through our tears as we remember her tender admonishment to us during her illness:
"Suck it up, Buttercup!"
