Mary H. Kesling, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 24, 2017. She was born on December 14, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio.
Mary graduated from Woodward High School in 1954. She married her high school sweetheart, Rich, on February 11, 1956. Mary retired as the Executive Secretary from MCO in 1998. She was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan and loved spending time at the family cottage on Black Lake. She enjoyed genealogy and antiques. Mary's family was everything to her and she was a devoted wife, mom, grandma and "Gigi."
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Richard; children, Dean (Vickie) Kesling, Julie (Michael) Schwarzkopf and Marybeth (Scott) Sund; siblings, Claudia Trombla, Bonnie (Ron) Simpson and Dorene Timiney; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Kenneth Mowery.
The family will receive guests on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 N. Reynold Road. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church.
The family requests memorials in Mary's name be made to: Epiphany Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
