Mary Elizabeth (Boden) Jones, 65, of Maumee, OH passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 31, 1951, in Toledo to Robert and Elizabeth (Rapier) Boden. Mary was a life-long resident of Maumee, a graduate of Maumee High School class of 1969, and was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband, Tom, of 46 years. She also was an unfailing mother and grandmother. When her own children were teenagers, she and Tom took into their home two other teens, Willie and Terri, who needed dedicated and loving parents. Willie and Terri were devoted to Mary during her last days. Mary and Tom led a full life with family, travels, and a lot of time on the lakes, waterways and parks in northwest Ohio, and southwestern Michigan. Mary worked in the service department at Valiton Motors for 20 years and rehabbed houses for many years after that. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a hard worker on every task before her – from home projects, to helping neighbors and friends with handyman or painting projects. No project was too much for her to tackle.
Mary is survived by her loving husband Tom, who she married on September 18, 1970; son Thomas Jones; daughter Jennifer Jones (Bryan Massey); grandsons Johnathan and Codey Massey; Willie Corron (Tonya); Terri Cole (Larry); Aunt Janice Mueller; devoted friends Corki Johnson and Judy Jones; brother-in-law Jerry (Judi) Jones; brother-in-law Thomas H. Justen III (Helen); nephew Timothy Justen (Sarah); and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nephews and nieces. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister Carol Justen and brothers-in-law Howard and Richard Jones.
