Mary Jo Miller

Mary Jo Miller, age 92, passed away April 12th, 2016 at Sunset Village. She was born June 25th, 1923 in Belpre, Ohio to Harley and Esther (Evans) Stanley. Mary Jo married the love of her life, Charles F. Miller on November 23rd, 1944 in Parkersburg, WV. Mary Jo and Charles moved to Toledo in 1958 where she began working at The Toledo Hospital as an RN.

Mary Jo and Charles were members of Flanders Road Church of Christ. In 1985 the couple moved to Sebring, Florida and continued an affiliation with Sebring Parkway Church of Christ. Mary Jo and Charles returned to Ohio in 2012.

Mary Jo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured the time spent with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She was an avid Baseball fan. Mary Jo also enjoyed reading and always looked forward to sharing parts of the Bible.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Barbara Jo and brothers, John and James Michael Stanley. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Charles F. Miller; sons, Robert M. (Gayle) Miller of Toledo and Paul N. Miller of California; brother, Charles Stanley of Reynoldsburg, OH; granddaughter, Jennifer L. (Jason) Links of FL; Grandson, Andrew( Merly)Miller of FL; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Emily Links and Cole Miller. Mary Jo is also survived by Beverly Stagg who was like a daughter to her and longtime friend, Aileen Godbey.

The family will receive guests Friday, June 24th, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Flanders Road Church of Christ, 5130 Flanders Rd, where a Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Flanders Road Church of Christ or to the charity of the Donor's choice.
