Mary Jo Frohlich

Mary Jo "Jo Jo" Frohlich, age 67, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 10, 1946 to Frederick and Mary (Thompson) Kruse in Toledo. Mary Jo was a beautician for over 40 years. She was an avid collector of frogs and loved dogs. Mary Jo enjoyed arts and crafts and cooking. She was never seen without a Diet Coke and a scratch off lottery ticket in hand. Mary Jo loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Jo Yarger. Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul Frohlich; daughters, Michelle Bischoff and Jennifer (Thomas) Jones; grandchildren, Megan, Kilee, Lauren, Austin and Ashley; sister, Susan Starkey; brother, Fred (Rheta) Kruse; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 3 – 6:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
