The bright star that lit up in the sky on Christmas Eve was our loving mom, Mary Jane Zander of Sylvania. Mary Jane was born October 8, 1932 in Harrod, Ohio to the late Carl B. and Kittie H. Guyton.
She was a stay at home mom raising 5 kids until school age. Then, Mary Jane opened her own embroidery shop in the garage called "M.J.'s Embroidery" and had a very successful business. Then, she decided to change careers and started working for Sylvania School Board in the Payroll Dept. She retired from there to take care of our dad, Edgar Zander, until his passing in Sept. 1997.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her oldest son, Larry Zander. She is survived by her children, Mike Zander, Janie (Steve) Wall, Tim (Anita) Zander and Tom (Wendy) Zander; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank the ICU at Flower Hospital for the loving care and support they gave us and Ebeid Hospice for their care.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania.
