Mary Jane Irelan, age 86, passed away Saturday, September 19th, 2009, surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, where she resided the past seven months. She was born May 22nd, 1923 to Walter and Mabel (Sullivan) Wahmhoff in Toledo. Mary Jane was a World War II, U.S. Army Veteran, a Real Estate Agent and Cosmetics Sales Representative. She lived and worked in the Toledo area until her retirement and then relocated to Zephyrhills, Florida, where she enjoyed many fun filled years until her husband's death in 2002. Mary Jane was a loving mother of seven children and continued to cherish the time she was able to spend with her ever growing family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Irelan; sisters, Rita Carlisle and Helen Nachtrab; brother, Frank Reichert and grandson, Robby Wallington. Mary Jane is survived by her son, Captain Robert P. (Cheri) Irelan, U.S. Navy; daughters, Colleen (Patrick) Davis; Maureen (James) Mock; Eilleen (Ron) Beeler; Cathleen (Ray) Youtsey; Dorreen (Mike) Clarkson and Sheila Kerekes; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Rectenwald; brother, Reverend Ralph Reichert and sister-in-law Joan Reichert.
Mary Jane was an amazing inspiration to her family, living life on her own terms, uncomplicated and uncompromising. She will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church for a Memorial Mass to celebrate Mary Jane's life.
The Family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially Karen Frank and also the staff of Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek for their exceptional care and concern for our mother.

There will be Private Burial Services in Florida's National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date.
