Mary J. Dowling

Mary J. Dowling, born March 14th, 1949, passed on to be with loved ones May 16th, 2014. The daughter of Walter Ballard and Winifred Wolfinger, she grew up in south Toledo, where she attended Immaculate Conception and was affectionately known as, Moose. She graduated from Macomber-Whitney class of 1967 and later that year married Thomas Dowling on October 14th.

Mary raised three kids, giving birth to two and marrying the third. We should also mention the countless others that have called her mom for as long as we can remember. She was a proud grandmother of two and a faithful friend to many. All that knew Mary will cherish their memories of her and the "Words of Winnie".

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Tom Dowling; daughter, Lynn Dowling; son, John Dowling, his wife, Debbie Baudino-Dowling, and grandchildren, Abbigale and Riley Dowling.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 3:00-7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419.473.0300). Prayer service will begin at 6:00pm.

We would like to say a special thank you to Gina and Brad Houk for their care and concern during our mom's brief illness.
