Mary Helen Rodriguez, age 70, of Toledo passed away Monday October 18, 2004 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born September 16, 1934 in La Pryor, TX to Alfredo and Guadalupe (Gonzales) Ibarra. She was a seamstress who lived her life, loving and serving God. She was a lay minister at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, fishing, and helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Santiago Ibarra.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Manuel Rodriguez; children Magdalena Skiles, Janie Luevano, Gloria Morton, Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., and Robert Rodriguez; sisters Lupe Lopez, and Janie Ibarra; a plethora of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) A rosary service will be held Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 501 Cherry St. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
