Mary H. Robinson

Mary H. Robinson, age 70, of Toledo, went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on February 6, 1938 to George Sr. and Marie (Ham) Williams in Kingstreet, South Carolina. Mary grew up in Florence County and at an early age she accepted Christ and was baptized and joined Meadow Prong Baptist Church. She then married L.J. Robinson and had four children. Mary loved bingo, reading, gardening, fishing and sewing. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Robinson, sister, Catherine Williams and brother, Marion Williams. Mary is survived by her loving family, son, Glenn (Tina) Robinson; daughters, Marilyn Matthews, Laurie (Steve) Boyd and Katrina Robinson; grandchildren, Martina (Melvin), Edward, Dominique, Jerrell, Glenn Jr., Adrian, Kayla and Faith; great-grandchildren, Ma'Lonna and Mikhael; sister, Alberta (Joe) Warren; brothers, George Jr. (Stella), Willie (Amy) and Ronnie (Benchay) Williams; special uncle and aunt, Moses and Pearl Ham; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. George Williams, Jr. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all of their loving care and support given to Mary and her family through this difficult time.
