Mary Ellen (Simon) Rupp
Mary Ellen (Simon) Rupp, age 75, a lifetime resident of West Toledo, earned her Heavenly Crown and entered the Eternal Kingdom on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born October 8, 1930 to George and Kathleen (Bolger) Simon in Toledo. Mary Ellen was a graduate of St. Agnes Elementary and Devilbis High School. Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister was a beautiful homemaker and matriarch of the family. She always had a strong devotion to Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William D. Rupp, and her beloved cocker spaniel Lucky. Mary Ellen is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Karen Rupp (James DiGregorio) and son, William H. Rupp; granddaughters, Rachael and Kelly Rupp and their mother, Lori Rupp; and Angela Rupp; sister, Dorothy Ballmer and brother, Donald (Patricia) Simon, of Melbourne, FL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St. Walbridge, OH. Officiating will be Rev. William C. Parker. Interment will follow in Wakeman Cemetery at 12:00 p.m., Waterville, OH.
