Mary Elizabeth Jackson
September 2, 1930 — February 23, 2012
Mary Elizabeth Jackson, age 81, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012. Mary or Liz, as she was known by her family and friends was a treasured mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Elizabeth was a member of Raisinville Baptist Church in Monroe, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Mayberry and grandson, Anthony Jackson. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Gary Jackson, Pamela (Bob) Feichter and Patricia Jackson-Governo; grandchildren, Tina (BJ) Beard, Trevor (Donna) Jackson, Shanna (Greg) Buckley, Shae Governo and Michael (Patty) Feichter; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Alicia, Jacob, Aiden, Carter, Gabriel, Griffin and Miles; sister, Faye McCaleb; brother, David Mayberry; and soul sister, Jean Hawkins, all of Cookeville, Tennessee.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the family or Odyssey Hospice Care, of Maumee, Ohio.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Comfort Keepers and Odyssey Hospice for all of their love and care.
