Mary E. Glover, age 93, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, October 25, 2013 and is resting comfortably in heaven. She was born May 15, 1920 to Alexsandor and Mary (Fekete) Petok in Toledo, Ohio. Mary graduated from Waite High School in 1938. She married Harold Anderson on April 27, 1940 and resided in Temperance, Michigan. Harold passed away on October 2, 1959. Mary then met her second husband, Robert, while working at Toledo Scale and they married on July 27, 1963. She retired from the Scale in 1982. Robert passed away on February 20, 2013 after 50 years of marriage.
Mary was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known for her wonderful Hungarian cooking and sweets over the years. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by daughters, Toni (Jim) Estes and Diane Arnold; grandchildren, James (Cindy) Estes, Debi Riley, Michael (Tina) Estes, Lisa (Paul) Cunningham and Jackie (Chris) Wilkins; brother, Ernest Petok; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are nieces and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Andrew and Alex Petok and sisters, Madge Evans and Irene Singlar.
The family will receive guests Monday, October 28, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
