Mary E. Gensler

Mary E. Gensler, age 92, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Fairlawn-Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, Ohio. She was born on May 17, 1921 to Frederick and Ardinell (Dorsey) Corbett in Toledo. Mary graduated from Whitmer High School, Class of 1939. She worked as an accounting secretary for various companies, such as the railroad, J.C. Penney's and Woodward High School. Most important to Mary was caring for her family and taking care of their needs. She was a lifelong member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was active in the ladies sewing club.

In her spare time she enjoyed camping with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending summers at Lake James and winters in Tampa, Florida with her husband, Verl.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Jack (Deb) Gensler, Bill (Carol) Gensler and Randy (Debbie) Gensler; grandchildren, Jodi (Jamison) Grime, Jamie (Kallie) Gensler, Julie (Lonny) Grime, Joel (Stephanie) Gensler, Amy (Tim) Romstadt, Angie (Frank) Florez, Erin (Chris) Spain, Haley (Joe) Greiner, Chad, Aaron, Courtney and Shaun Gensler; great-grandchildren, Darian Oberlin, Lydia, Jamison and Tatum Grime; Kiera and Jayden Gensler; Nyah, Brexton and Caston Grime; Brody and Blake Gensler; Marie and Marissa Ramirez; Tim, Tori and Alec Romstadt; Dallas and Derek Florez; Aiden and Jacob Spain; Liam and Reese Greiner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Verl; brother, Parker Corbett and sisters, Helen Marie Stagg, Paulene Eichenlaub, Marg'ret Wilson and Mary's twin sister, Martha Kolmar.

The family will receive guests on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43623 (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Przybylski officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
