Mary Ellen Brock

Mary Ellen Brock, age 82, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on November 3, 2016 at home with her children by her side. She was born on July 20, 1934 to Barney and Sophia (Greek) Spradling in Toledo. Mary Ellen went to Shoreland Elementary School and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1952. She was a lead cheerleader for 6 years for her squad. She also attended Davis Business College. Mary Ellen worked for many years as a plant inspector at Ransom and Randolph Co. She volunteered as a docent for 11 years at the Stranahan Manor House. Mary Ellen was an avid reader, especially of the Bible and could always be found praying. She loved the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed her time in prayer. Mary Ellen loved to travel, but most of all, loved the time spent with her family and grandchildren. Mary Ellen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Keith Brock; grandson, Anthony Joseph Frontine; 7 great-grand angels; and brother, Paul Spradling. Mary Ellen is survived by her sister, Ruth (Tom) Sroczynski; loving children, Tim (Mary Ellen) Frontine, Mike (Beth) Frontine, Mary (Greg) Lucien, Pat Frontine, David Frontine, Mark (Dorothea) Frontine and Cheryl (Greg) Mattox; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Carol Spradling; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be her grandson, Pastor Daniel P. Lucien. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
