Mary Boyer

Mary Boyer, age 86, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, November 15th, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born October 1st, 1923 to Frank and Anna (Schemmler) Miller. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family and friends. She was employed with General Motors for a short time where she met her husband Chris. Later Mary became employed with Pace doing demos at area Kroger's and The Andersons General Stores for more than 20 years. She also spent some time living in Arizona employed with Price Club, as well as Pace in marketing. Mary also enjoyed crafting of all kinds. She loved animals and cared for her dogs Chelsea and Nigel. Mary will be remembered by all who knew her for her sense of style and integrity throughout her life. She was a very kind hearted person always lending a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on to those in need.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Chris Boyer and brothers, Chuck and Gene Miller. She is survived by her loving children, Scott (Denise) Boyer and Sue (Ward) Schotter; grandchildren, Stacy (Sean); Kurt; Heather (Ora) and special great granddaughter, Madison; Sarah; Eric (Rebecca); Christian (Ashley); Carol (Tony); David; Scotty and Chandler; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Mikesell and Helen Kress; sister-in-law, Gertrude Miller and many dear and special friends.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
