Mary B. Johnson

Mary B. Johnson, age 67, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on July 23, 1946 to Carroll F. and Vivian (Lucas) Parker in Toledo. Mary was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in 1964. She also attended the University of Toledo and graduated from Stautzenberger College. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Johnny Curry Johnson; and brother and sister-in-law, Albert J. and Colleen M. Parker. Mary is survived by her loving children, Takara (Adan) Duran, Takanta (Michael) Green, Takoma Johnson, Takina (Mario) Johnson, Takoda Johnson, Takeva (Jeremy) Harris, and Takisha Johnson; step-daughters, Marsha Hudson and Sheria Monegan; 21 grandchildren; brother, Fr. William C. Parker; sister, Vivian C. Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Scripture Services at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin Friday, May 30, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 1119 W. Bancroft St., Toledo, Ohio 43606 with visitation one hour prior at church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
