Mary Alice Davis, age 89, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Goerlich Center, Sylvania. She was born on May 26, 1925 to Karl and Florence (Justen) Brucksieker in Toledo. Mary Alice enjoyed camping with her husband and friends for over 20 years, being in the outdoors and traveling around. Mary Alice was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph J. Davis in 2009; and brother, Karl Jr. Mary Alice is survived by her loving children, James (Jeanne) Davis, Denise (Roger) Pakulski, Michael Davis and Sue (Rick) King; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeff (Lauren), Jerry (Jennifer), Scott (Alyssa), Chris (Jody), Erik (Andrea), Phillip (Jessica), Ashley, Brett (Kendra), Bryan, Nicole, Brandon, Lauren and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Zach, Morgan, Andrew, Aaron, Logan, Jordyn, Josie, Ethan, Carter; cousin and best friend, Judy Pinkelman; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4852 Heatherdowns Blvd. – SW Chapel (419-381-1900) with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
