Mary Lou Adair, age 83, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 with her family by her side.
She was born November 5, 1937 in Delaware, OH, the daughter of James and Lucille (Andrews) Mitchell. Mary graduated from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio in 1956 and married William D. Adair in 1964.
She is survived by her children, Robin (Curtis) Zubke of Adrian, Michigan, Scott (Sara) Adair of Sylvania, Ohio and Barry Adair of Lambertville, Michigan; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Chery (Tom) Penny; brother, Robert (Gisela) Mitchell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was also preceded in death by her husband, William; brother Richard "Dick"; sister, Patricia; step-daughter, Melody "Dee"; step-son, William, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Robin and great-grandson, Nicholas.
Mary Lou retired as Production Supervisor from the Ford Motor Company Maumee Stamping Plant in 2000. Her many interests included gardening, camping, traveling, boating, "Grannie" NASCAR and football, but her greatest enjoyment was found in time she spent with family. She was the rock of our family; always loving, understanding, supportive and so proud of each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Saturday, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Newcomer, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd, Toledo (419-392-5000). Funeral Service will follow beginning at 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
Those wishing to make a Memorial Contribution in Mary Lou's memory are asked to consider the American Heart Association.
