Marvin Malohn

Marvin "Pat" Malohn, age 80 of Toledo passed away Friday, July 15th, 2005 in Flower Hospital. He was born September 19, 1924 to Charles and Lillian (Frosch) Malohn in Toledo, Ohio. Marvin was a WW II U.S. Marine Veteran. Being a part of the military taught him to be strong, proud, brave and a little stubborn (there was one way…his way !). Following in his father's footsteps as a union painter and interior decorator, Marvin took over the family business "Malohn Decorators". He continued in the industry until a heart attack in 1996. Marvin was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the seasons up until this last year. Marvin also enjoyed going to auctions and chatting with Jim and Rose at their flea market. He spent many seasons in Somerset, Ohio hunting with the Chapman and Yarger families.

Marvin is survived by his loving children, Elle (Tim) Lyons; Marlette (Devon) Murray and Matthew Malohn; grandchildren, Dustin (Melissa) and Shayna and great granddaughter, Estrella; many life long hunting friends, Bull; Ben; Bill; Dick and many other dear friends and relatives.

Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian "Dolly" Scherer in 1996.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300).
