Martin O. Ruff

Martin O. "Marty" Ruff, age 61, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 26, 1954 to Norman and Betty (Mead) Ruff in Toledo. Marty graduated from Start High School in 1973. He worked at Jeep for 30 years before retiring in March 2008. Marty was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines, the Green Bay Packers, the Detroit Red Wings and the New York Yankees. He loved animals, especially dogs. Marty enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite television programs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Ruff. Marty is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Ann (Jeko) Ruff; son, Andrew "Andy" Ruff; daughter, Cristi Ruff; brother, Tom Ruff; canine companions, Minnie and Kairi; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will take place Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Riverpoint Ministries United Methodist Church, 2862 131st St, Toledo, OH 43611 with visitation one hour prior at church.
