Martin Rodger Ludlow, age 81, of Maumee, OH passed away March 23, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born September 15, 1940 in Bowling Green, OH to Keene and Irma (Wyss) Ludlow. Marty served his country as a proud U.S Marine from 1958-1962. He was employed with the Ohio Bell for more than 30 years retiring in 1992. Marty loved fishing, motorcycling with his son and working on any type of motor. He also had a passion for animals, but most importantly his children and grandchildren. Marty liked the pork chops at the Waffle House, going to Frisch's in Maumee for the salad bar and anything made with cherries, especially the cherry pie.
In addition to his parents, Marty was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ludlow; and siblings, Joan Zelling and Lawrence Ludlow. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen M. Ludlow; son, Christopher M. (Michelle) Ludlow; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nikki) Ludlow and April Ludlow; great-grandchildren, James, Matthew and Trinity; siblings, Laurie (Arthur) Shippey, K. Thomas Ludlow, Kersinda Foster and John Ludlow.
The family will receive guests Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where a Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday, March 28, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
