Martin K. "Stumpy" Jordan, passed away on April 20, 2024. He was born on July 19, 1950 in Toledo, OH to Clifford and Virginia (O'Keefe) Jordan. Marty started working at the age of 12 for Fairmont Pharmacy and then after graduating from Macomber High School, he went on to work for the Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18. He also worked for JCPenney Warehouse and then Erie Steel where he retired from after many years due to health reasons. Anywhere Marty went or worked he formed lifelong friendships.
In 1983, Marty married Robin McCarthy-Bergman, embracing her daughters as his own. He ensured they lacked nothing, even amidst occasional disagreements with Robin.
Marty had a passion for various hobbies; including stock car racing, antique cars, hunting, and fishing. One of his greatest passions was his 1926 Trac T Roadster which he meticulously built with the assistance of his friends, Dave Henry and Chris Dixon; completing it as a cherished gift to himself for his 40th birthday. The joy he found in that car was unparalleled.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 41 years, Robin; bonus daughters, Wendy (John) Payette, and Jill Bergman, grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, and James; and 2 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bonus-daughter, Bonnie Bergman.
