Martin D. Dewey

Martin D. "Marty" Dewey, age 62, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Flower Hospital. He was born on June 28, 1955 to Alburn E. and Lucille G. (Green) Dewey. Marty retired after 30 years of service as a tool and die maker for Ford Motor Company - Maumee Stamping Plant. After retirement he enjoyed selling jewelry with his wife at local craft shows and flea markets. His family will remember him as a kind man with an ornery sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Nelly Dewey; children, Luke and Tiffany Dewey; step-daughter, Sheila (Chris) Knight; siblings, Donna "Jean" (Galen) Gray, Douglas "Bud" (Linda) Dewey, Teri (Alan) Bacho and Shelly Douglas; grandchildren, Dominik, Christopher, Jessica, Casey and Sadie; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and feline friend, Tweetie.

The family will receive guests on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
