Martha Poole

Martha Rosemary Poole, age 90, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by her family. She was born on September 12, 1921 to the late George and Anna Peskor.

Martha attended Woodward High School and was a member of Regina Coeli Parish. Martha, a devoted and truly loving wife, mother and grandmother, will be greatly missed by family and friends. A lifelong resident of Toledo, Martha enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, gardening, cooking, gaming and travel.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jarvis Clinton Poole; daughter, Nancy Poole Hoover; sisters, Helen Cieslewski, Lucille Olszewski, Dorothy Weislak and Eleanor Czinski; brother, Thaddeus Peskor. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rita Sue Poole and Jeffrey C. (Jeanne) Poole; grandson, Samuel (Bethany) Hoover; great-grandchildren, Margot and Winston Hoover and her lifelong friend, Esther Stark and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, at Regina Coeli Church, 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the emergency room staff and second floor nursing staff at St. Anne's Hospital and to the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving and compassionate care.
