Martha S. "Marty" Elfering, age 76, of Toledo, passed away December 28, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Marty was born June 21, 1943 in Toledo to John and Gladys (Baker) Gennings. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Teledyne for 19 years and then with Alternative Plumbing for 30 years. Marty enjoyed painting ceramics and candle making.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, William Elfering, sons, John Conrad and Tim Conrad; sisters, Marsha (Steve) Landrum and Joellen (Jerry) Brown; three grandchildren, Nick, Jay and Amber; one great grandchild, Mason and many nieces and nephews.
Marty is preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Gennings.
In accordance with Marty's wishes cremation has taken place and a gathering will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Marty's honor may be made to Lucas County Humane Society.
