Marlene Ann Zollweg
November 11, 1933 — October 13, 2022
Marlene Ann Zollweg, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, and went to be with the Lord, on October 13, 2022, at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. Marlene was born November 11, 1933, in Toledo, to the late Richard and Helen (Frymire) King.
Marlene graduated from Whitmer High School. She was very active with the Red Hat's at the Sylvania Senior Center. She worked as a homemaker, caring for her husband and seven beautiful daughters, whom she loved dearly. Not only was she an amazing wife, but also a mother and grandmother. Marlene loved being a grandma; she made sure she attended all her grandchildren's extracurricular activities. Her family was very important to Marlene. The holidays were very special to her where all the children and grandchildren would get together and share lots of laughs. Marlenes love and sweet smile will be missed by all who knew her. It's not goodbye, it's see you later…
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Terry (Ang) Cuttaia, Debbie (Ralph) Wiczynski, Tammy Madlinski, Beverly (Rick) Buss, Desere (Chuck) Carter, Sherri (Scott) Putnam, and Vicki (Wayne) Warren; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard (Terry) King and Daniel (Diane) King; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by her husband, Gene Harris Zollweg, whom she married on February 21, 1952; grandson, Angelo Cuttaia IV; and father and mother-in-law, Hap and Margaret Zollweg.
Marlene's family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Kingston of Perrysburg, for their love, care, and support they gave Marlene, as well as her family, during this time.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm until the time of her funeral service at 6:00 pm, with Pastor Roy Southerland officiating.
