Marlene (Gaston) Walker, a beautiful soul transitioned her life to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on June 3, 2023. Affectionately known as "Moochie" she came into this world with her twin sister Darlene Starks to the union of Fred and Victoria Gaston on June 3, 1958. She grew up in a large family in Toledo, Ohio where she attended Warren Elementary School, Robinson Junior High School, and Scott High School. She was a strong brave woman, full of spunk and spice who spoke her mind. She was courageously protective of her loved ones, being there to help and protect them in any way that she could.
Moochie met the love of her life Aaron Walker, Jr. in the 4th grade where they began to pick on each other and chase each other around. The love between them grew through the years until they finally wed shortly after high school. They have been inseparable ever since weathering many storms through 44 years of marriage. If anyone knew her, they knew she was an overcomer, beating many odds. When the doctors said she would never be a mother or live a long life her stubbornness kicked in and she defeated the odds. She was a praying woman who gave her life to God at an early age at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, later becoming a member of His Word Global Ministries Church, where she proudly served as a "Nurse." Moochie heart was so big she wanted everyone to have a relationship with Christ.
She worked as cook at Form Cafeteria, and a liner worker at Selco Paper Company. Her proudest accomplishment was being a housewife, mother, and lifeline to many families and friends. She was a funny person making everyone around her laugh, living life to the fullest, she will be deeply missed. Although she was a mother figure to many and would help everyone she could, she did not mind slamming people IF they needed it. She loved to knit and grow plants and spending time mostly with her husband but also her family and friends.
