Marlene Mae Schultz, age 85, of Toledo, passed away and went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2022 at Parkcliffe Assisted Living. Marlene was born November 21, 1937 in Toledo to Leon and Eufersein (Szkudlarek) Matuszak.
Marlene graduated from Notre Dame Academy, class of 1955. She was a wonderful homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. She always made sure there was a home cooked meal and that they were loved and cared for. Marlene enjoyed playing cards, such as Euchre and Pinochle, shopping, and going to the movies every Tuesday with her sister. She was the life of the party who enjoyed traveling, where she loved seeing the sights and exploring new places. An animal lover, she loved feeding the birds and squirrels. Most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother; her family was most important. Marlene's love and smile will forever be missed. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later…
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Audra (Steve) Martinez and Grant Bishop; granddaughters, Kassandra (Jeff) and Zofia; and sister, Patricia Matuszak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by her loving husband, Ronald Schultz, whom she married on August 27, 1966 and two aunts, Alice and Camille Szkudlarek.
A gathering will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2950 Ilger Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43606, on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 9:00 am until the time of her Memorial Mass at 10:00 am with Father Marty Lukas officiating.
