Marlene Kyler, age 71 of Toledo passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 1, 2010 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. On July 11, 1939 she was born to William and Irma (Young) Brandeberry in Cutler, Ohio. Marlene was a graduate of Scott High School and following high school she was a homemaker, taking care of her family. Marlene later worked at The Lion Store and Jacobson's as a buyer and sales associate for a number of years, later retiring. She joined Mayfair Plymouth Church as a young adult and remained a devoted member of the church, singing in the choir and helping the church whenever she could. Marlene's family will remember her as a kind and gentle soul, who was very selfless, always putting other people first. She had the unique ability to get along with all types of people and she could always make them feel good.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Herbert "Herb" Kyler; daughters, Deana (Georg) Bloecher and Dana (Cary) Saddoris; grandchildren, Alexandra, Andreas, Megan and Alissa; siblings, Ronald Brandeberry, Barbara Anderson and Theodore Buckholtz and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). The family will also receive guests Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Mayfair Plymouth Church, 5253 Bennett Road. Funeral Services will follow Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Pastor David Claassen officiating.
