Marlene A. Hensley, age 71 of Sylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Flower Hospital. She was born October 23, 1940 to Lester and Velma (Krum) Bacon in Toledo. Marlene loved camping, traveling, going to garage sales and designing floral arrangements. She was a member of Calvary Bible Chapel for nearly 10 years and also member of the Moose Lodge in Port Clinton. She owned Marlene's Hair Fashions for well over 40 years and was very passionate about her business. Marlene loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Larry of 26 years who was truly devoted to Marlene's care; children, Jody (Pete) Darr, Bryan (Cleretta) Hensley and JoAnna (Damon) Simon; grandchildren, Brandy LeBowsky, Jolene Darr, Destiny Vasvery, Roxanne and Bryan II Hensley, Ralph Obenjour II, Jessica Obenour and Taylor Geckle; great-grandson, Ricky Riffee; brother, Wayne (Beverly) Bacon; sister, Nancy (Jim) Swift; sisters-in-law, Karen Hensley and Janice Hensley; many loving nieces and nephews and beloved canine companion, Buddy.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Calvary Bible Chapel, 3740 W. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will begin in the church at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Andy Hill officiating.
