Mark Shepard

Mark L. Shepard, age 52, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the Flower Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was born on August 5, 1954 to Robert and Mary Ann (Mauder) Shepard in Toledo. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School in 1972. Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician with Daimler Chrysler for 23 years until retiring in October, 2006. Mark was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, guitars and computers. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Jane Shepard; children: Ryan (Rosie) and Katie Lyn (Clarence Porter) Shepard; step-children: Karen (Jeff) McVicker, Christopher (Joy), Jacob (Alison), Aaron (Kristy) and Hope Dieter; grandchildren: Trinity and Dylan; step-grandchildren: Brandon, Makayla, Alex, Sean, Phoebe, Ella, Sophia, Irene and Jack; brothers: Gary (Karen) and Jeff (Charla) Shepard; niece: Stephanie Shepard; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Glass City Christian Fellowship, 8201 Angola Rd., Holland, OH 43528. The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
