Mark A. Pitney, age 62, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 21, 2022, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born on August 23, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Nolan and Brooksie (Harrison) Pitney.

Mark was a graduate of Springfield Local High School. Mark had worked at Allied Universal in security. A recent member of Whiteford Weslyan Church, his life centered around his faith and the church. Mark will truly be missed by all who loved him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his two children, Kayla (Mac) Hartford and Andrew Pitney; granddaughter, Mackenna; siblings, Lloyd (Judy) Pitney, Judy (Jim) Snyder, Mike (Shirley) Pitney, Anna Pitney, Linda (Russ) Kinner, and Nolan (Merlyn) Pitney; sixteen nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his baby sister, Cheryl; an unnamed baby brother; and his ex-wife, Jane-Ella Pitney.

Family and friends may gather at Whiteford Weslyan Church, 10285 Sylvania-Petersburg Road, Ottawa Lake, Michigan 49267, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 12:30 pm, with Pastor Rick Deisler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Russ Kinner, in care of funeral expenses.
