Mark Kleeberger, age 75, passed away Tuesday, March 18th at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo surrounded by family. Mark was born April 3,1949 in Toledo to Franklin and Cecilia Kleeberger. Mark married Sue in 1970, and together they raised four children. He was a graduate of Macomber High School and worked as a tool and die maker for 40 years.
Mark was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and regularly attended Men’s Bible Study. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter and supporting his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as “Pa”, in their many activities and interests. Mark also enjoyed spending time with his friend Bill Everett and his Tuesday “breakfast club” meet-ups with local family.
Mark is survived by his children: Kelly Griffin, Kristin (Brian) Krokowski, Mark (Emily) Kleeberger and Matthew Kleeberger; his grandchildren: Claire Griffin, Megan Leveston (Jurman), Isaac Holley, William Kleeberger, Kathryn Kleeberger, Ruby Krokowski and Rowan Krokowski; great-granddaughter Nora Leveston; son-in-law Larry Griffin; his siblings, Paul Kleeberger, Kathleen Root, Philip (Linda) Kleeberger, Al (Terri) Kleeberger, Ray Kleeberger, and John Kleeberger; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Kleeberger, parents, sister Cecilia Lindsey, and sisters-in-law, Mary Pat Kleeberger and Karen Kleeberger.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate care they provided.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, March 23 from 4-7pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 24 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, at 10am until services at 11am with Pastor Bill Baker. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
