Marjorie J. "Shorty" Gray
7/25/1919 – 4/25/2006
Marjorie J. "Shorty" Gray passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Harborside of Sylvania. Born to Charles (Marinelli) and Jennie (Behr) Rowan. Marjorie married Ray Davis and had two sons, Melvin (deceased) and Charles Davis. She moved to California and became an aeronautical inspector with Ryan Aircraft and met William Sr. They were married on 5/31/1942 and had two sons, William, Jr. and James. Marge's favorite things in life were her family, ORYC and taking quarters from the "guys" during football season.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, Melvin and her husband, William, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Charles (Susie) Davis; William, Jr. (Carol) and James Gray; grandchildren, Chuck (Melissa); Elizabeth (David); Kelly; Jodi and Joshua, as well as, several great grandchildren including Elizabeth and Anthony Despain; Trevor Stopher and Avery Gray; Michael; Nischa; Quaid and Joshua Davis and Francesca Blackette.
The family will receive guests Friday from 3-7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Deacon George Mitchell.
