Marion (Mike) F. Fogle

Marion (Mike) F. Fogle, age 79, of Toledo, passed away October 9, 2024, in the comfort of his home. Mike was born on May 16, 1945, in Richwood, Ohio, to the late Harold and Irene (Ellenwood) Fogle. 

Mike graduated from Richwood High School. It was here that he nurtured friendships and built the foundation for the life he would go on to lead; one filled with love, laughter, and community involvement. A proud veteran, Mike served in the United States Navy, a commitment he carried with pride throughout his life. His service laid the foundation for his character and values that would shine brightly in every aspect of his life. Mike dedicated 35 years of his professional life to Ohio Bell, known today as AT&T, where he embraced each day with determination and commitment. Following his retirement, he found purpose in delivering medication for James Pharmacy, embodying his caring spirit and ensuring that those in need received their essential prescriptions with a friendly smile.

Mike was an avid hunter and had a particular fondness for watching old westerns, finding comfort and entertainment in the stories of adventure and resilience. He treasured the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, filling their lives with warmth and wisdom, always eager to teach the lessons he had learned throughout his own journey.

For over 30 years, Mike and his wife, Bonnie, were active and devoted members of Faith Bible Baptist Church, where he exemplified true leadership as a Trustee. His unwavering faith and commitment to the church made a lasting impact on many, fostering a spirit of community and support among his fellow congregants.

Among Mikes proudest accomplishments was his involvement with the Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT), where he dedicated many years to serving those affected by crises, showcasing his deep compassion for humanity and the desire to help others in need.

Mike leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his daughters, Angela (Keith) Shinaver, Dianna (Daryle) McGhee and Frances (William) Wismer; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Sue Fogle; son, David Michael Fogle; and sister, Celaine Titus. 

Family and friends may visit at Faith Bible Baptist Church, 232 North McCord Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615, on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The family will also receive guests, Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 am, at Faith Bible Baptist Church. Following the service, Mike will be laid to rest at Spingfield Township Cemetery, where Military honors will be recited.
