Marilyn Jo Onody

Marilyn J. Onody, 82, of Toledo, lost her valiant battle from cancer on December 25, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 23, 1942 to Frank and Marion (Fellows) Pollzzie, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Springfield High School. 

Marilyn worked as a secretary and retired from Rockwell Automation. She was an avid reader, enjoyed garage and rummage sales, having a margarita, playing cards especially Euchre, casino trips with her traveling buddy, Loretta especially trips to Las Vegas. Marilyn was a fighter, she never complained and always stated that she was “ok”.

Marilyn is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah Anne (Thomas Taylor) Berezowski; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Josina Lott Foundation, 120 South Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo 43615. A special thank you to Sandy, Garry, Jodi, Ben, Carolyn, Heather, Collin, Cara, Mindy, Samantha, Rosemary and Dave, Thomas, Amy, Rachelle, Liz, Felicia and Jim, and Tony who were there through her final hours. Also thank you for everyone who prayed for Marilyn, the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and Dr. Phinney and his staff at Toledo Clinic Hematology Oncology.
